From the 10,000-foot view, there are  really only a handful of things that get construction workers hurt while on the  job. The specific facts of individual accidents may be unique, closer to the  ground, but what gets the average construction worker hurt (or even killed) are  obvious things:

– Falling from heights

– Collapsing trenches

– Collapsing scaffolding

– Electric shock

– Injuries from not using safety  equipment

– Repetitive use/motion
